Switch2 Supports Woodland Trust Tree Planting at Hayhills
Three members of the Switch2 team took part in a Woodland Trust planting day at Hayhills, helping to create new native woodland that will support wildlife, benefit local communities and capture carbon for years to come.
Switch2 was proud to support the Woodland Trust through a tree planting day at Hayhills, near Silsden, as part of the company’s ongoing ESG commitments.
Ryan, Mat and Lauren took part on behalf of Switch2, helping to plant native trees that will contribute to the creation of a new broadleaf woodland. The Hayhills site is being developed on former farmland and will, over time, provide new habitats for wildlife, improve access to nature for local communities and help lock away carbon for the future.
For Switch2, the day was a practical way to turn ESG commitments into action. By supporting the planting effort, the team contributed to a project designed to deliver long-term environmental benefits, including increased biodiversity and stronger connections between nearby woodland habitats. The Woodland Trust has also highlighted the site’s future role in supporting volunteering, community engagement and outdoor learning.
The Hayhills planting day forms part of the wider Northern Forest programme, which is helping to create greener landscapes across the North of England. By taking part, Switch2 played a small but meaningful role in a long-term effort to create lasting environmental value.
