We have robust systems in place to ensure each phase of the project will progress smoothly and on time.

We will take the lead in ensuring the inter-reliance of all parties for the delivery and adherence to SLAs, providing excellent customer service and a seamless approach to site management.

We can ensure that all parties communicate effectively and have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities from the outset. By working closely with the professional team during the construction phase of the development any obvious installation/commissioning mistakes can be avoided due to our extensive operational knowledge.

Our development of a seamless integration of services, is reinforced by the longevity and renewal of contracts and vast partnership experience.

We work closely with design consultants, bringing lessons learnt from over 430 schemes that we manage. We believe it is very important that scheme operators are consulted and proactive at the specification and design process. Our experience of operating community heat schemes allows us to make valuable contributions to decisions affecting the long-term viability and performance of the scheme. We are very conscious of how important this stage is in providing good quality, affordable heat from a financially viable community energy scheme.

Case study: Providing a flexible, affordable smart metering system to residents

Salix Homes required a full system upgrade across 10 of their community heating schemes, serving 1,000 homes heating and hot water. After a successful tendering process, Switch2 was awarded the contract to survey the properties and install the G6 pay-as-you-go system. The project took 140 days to survey and upgrade each property, and was delivered on-time and within budget.
